In case you didn't know, the 4-H year runs from September 1st to August 31st of the following year! With that being said, today is the start of the new 4-H year! 🍀

Enrollment will open on October 1st, one month from today, so let the countdown begin! We will be gearing up for all events and new year information during the month of September, so be on the lookout for further posts!!

📣2026 Clay County 4-H Fair Auction Checks!!📣

If your child sold their animal in the Clay County 4-H Auction, please come pick up their check at the Clay County Extension Office at your earliest convenience! (210 S. Church St., Louisville) All checks must be signed for when you come to pick up!

Our office hours are Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (Closed 11:30-12:30 for lunch)

Rocky and Anita Allen were inducted into the Illinois 4-H Hall of Fame 🎉

Our 4-H member, Haven Cash, was featured for her agricultural project/business, "The Growing Point"! 👩🏻‍🌾

A big congratulations to all of our Illinois State Fair general project winners! We are proud of your hard work; way to represent Clay County 4-H! 🍀

We had 4 grand champion and 3 reserve champion project winners! We also had 2 Inspire Awards winners, which is a special award for projects that really "inspire" the judge! ✨

On behalf of Clay County 4-H, we nominated Rocky and Anita Allen for induction into the Illinois 4-H Hall of Fame in recognition of their many years of dedication to Clay County 4-H. Through their leadership of the All Around Gang 4-H Club, volunteerism, and support of local youth, they have made a lasting impact on generations of 4-H members in Clay County.

Rocky and Anita will be officially inducted into the Illinois 4-H Hall of Fame at the Illinois State Fair on this Friday, August 14, at 12:00 p.m. in the Orr Building.

If you're at the State Fair, be sure to stop by and help us recognize these two 4-H volunteers! 🍀👏
