Building Trust Through Conversation 🤝

Today, ULPD Officers An. Aguayo and Ad. Aguayo, along with Detective Bullock and Detective Sgt. Crook, had the privilege of participating in an open and inspiring discussion with local youth through True502, a grassroots organization led by J’Mauri Summers.

The conversation provided an opportunity for meaningful dialogue, allowing officers and youth to share perspectives, build connections, and foster mutual understanding. We are grateful for the invitation and appreciate organizations like True502 that create positive spaces for engagement and growth within our community.

Thank you to everyone who participated in making today’s experience impactful for both our officers and the young people we serve.

ULPD, alongside our partner agencies, was honored to participate in Career Day at Okolona Elementary. Our officers enjoyed the opportunity to engage with students and provide insight into the role and responsibilities of law enforcement. Events like these are invaluable in building positive relationships and inspiring the next generation.

ULPD is proud to host an informative and interactive Women’s Self-Defense Course designed to empower participants with practical safety skills and confidence.

This comprehensive 9-hour course is completely FREE and will be divided into three engaging sessions:

⏰ 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM (each session)

Participants will gain valuable knowledge, hands-on training, and situational awareness techniques in a supportive learning environment.
