Tonight, members of our Executive Committee joined Democratic candidates, Labor and business leaders in support of the reelection of Louisville’s incumbent Democratic Mayor, Craig Greenberg.

Since becoming Mayor, Louisville has seen a ten-year-low crime rate, more affordable housing opportunities, and major infrastructure projects such as the rebuild of the Belvedere. All to make Louisville a place where people want to live and visit.

This honoree is special, and it is bittersweet.
Lynn Deveaux would always show up, ready to do what needed to be done. Postcarding, canvassing, community outreach, voter registration, sign delivery, and Rides to the Polls – if you ever volunteered at the party, you probably met Lynn.

We unfortunately lost Lynn earlier this year. The Louisville Democratic Party is establishing the Lynn Deveaux “I Can Be There” Award, a recognition of the volunteers who step up to make everything else possible — named for Lynn who answered every request with the same four words, "I can be there."
