The need is real, but so is the hope. 💙

As we recognize Mental Health Awareness Month, we can’t ignore the statistics: 20% of our neighbors face mental health challenges annually. Far too often, the cost of care is the barrier that stands in the way of healing.

Today is Kentucky Gives Day, and we are at a pivotal moment. We are currently halfway to our $100,000 goal for our annual Home and Garden Tour. Reaching this goal ensures that Kilgore Samaritan Counseling Center can continue to provide affordable, accessible care to everyone in our community, regardless of their financial situation.

$25 helps offset the cost of a session for a neighbor.

$125 funds a full counseling session for someone in need.

$500 sponsors ongoing care that can transform an entire family.

Help us raise the remaining $50,000 to meet our goal and keep these doors open for those who need them most.

Kilgore Counseling is currently welcoming new clients across the lifespan. We provide therapy for children, adolescents, and adults, with both in-person and virtual options, flexible scheduling, and acceptance of most major insurance plans including commercial plans, Medicaid, and Medicare.

We also offer limited psychological testing, currently focused on ADHD evaluations for children ages 6+ and adults, as well as consultation and coaching services available via private pay.

An integral part of Kilgore is the quality and experience of our therapists and our clients recognize this. Society seems to be getting more polarized resulting in conflicts rather its within your family, among your friends, at work or with a stranger.

It is possible to manage conflicts better so that it does not result in hurt and division, and part of that process involves taking the time to understand each other, not necessarily agree, but understand. A big part of what we do at Kilgore is to help people understand each other and provide tools they can use for the rest of their lives to manage conflict.
