The Louisville Metro Syringe Exchange is operated by the Louisville Metro Department of Public Health and Wellness. Syringe exchanges are a public health intervention to prevent the spread of blood borne diseases by providing education, disease testing, and clean injection supplies to people who inject drugs. In our exchange we also provide overdose prevention training and referrals to drug treatment when participants are ready.
