The 2026 Louisville Walk-N-Roll this past Saturday was one to remember! We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day. It was great to see so many familiar faces and connect with new friends.

Thank you to every family, team, volunteer, sponsor, donor, and supporter who came out to walk, roll, celebrate, and help raise more than $37,000 for the Spina Bifida community.

The Walk-N-Roll may be over in Louisville, but we're not done yet!

Fundraising continues through September 30th!

Join us at the Western Kentucky Walk-N-Roll for Spina Bifida at Lee S. Jones Park on Saturday, September 26th.

💙 This is why we Walk-N-Roll.

Spina Bifida Clinic outreach has been an ongoing program since the Norton Children's Spina bifida Multidisciplinary Clinic began. During our most recent clinic visit, SBAK staff visited each patient with a snack bag and support. Today, we highlight two incredible members in our community. Braelynn is 6 years old, and Justin is 20 and preparing to age out of the pediatric clinic.

Two different stages of life. Two different journeys. One incredible community.

Braelynn will be getting a wheelchair soon for long distances, but when she saw Justin in his chair, she was worried that he'd been hurt or had a broken leg. We had a quick chat about how everyone with spina bifida is unique, has different support needs, and some of the awesome activities Justin participates in with a wheelchair. She was quickly distracted by the need to know if he had a fruit roll-up or fruit snacks in his bag.

Walk-N-Roll funds help SBAK be there for individuals and families throughout every stage of life by providing education, resources, advocacy, connection, and opportunities to thrive. But also fruit snacks and fruit roll-ups!

From those first hospital visits in the NICU or clinic appointments to the transition into adulthood, we're here for the journey. 💙

The Louisville Walk-N-Roll for Spina Bifida is THIS Saturday!

Why should you join us?

Because the Walk-N-Roll is about more than taking a few laps around a park.

It’s about celebrating the kids, adults, parents, caregivers, siblings, and families who make up the incredible Spina Bifida community. It’s about coming together, sharing our stories, creating connections, and making sure no family has to navigate Spina Bifida alone.

And yes - it’s about raising money, too.

Every dollar raised helps SBAK provide free programs, education, advocacy, resources, financial assistance, and opportunities for families across Kentucky and Southern Indiana.

You don't have to live in Louisville to make an impact. You can walk. You can roll. You can create a team. You can fundraise from home. You can make a donation. You can simply share this post. Walk-N-Roll Fundraising is well underway, and our first Walk-N-Roll is this Saturday at Broad Run Park in Louisville!

For teams raising $125 or more, the team captain will earn a Walk-N-Roll shirt as the first-tier incentive prize. However, this year, supporters may purchase additional shirts through a preorder form.

Shirts are available in -
Youth sizes: small, medium, or large for $20.
Adult sizes: x-small, small, medium, large, and x-large for $25.
Adult sizes: xx-large and xxl for $27.

Here's how it works:

📅 SBAK will submit one bulk order after October 1st.
📦 The shirts will be printed and shipped directly to you by our printer once the bulk order is processed.

It's Meet the Movers Monday!

The Louisville Walk-N-Roll for Spina Bifida is THIS SATURDAY!

Audrey's Warriors moved right into the number two fundraising in just 7 days!
With 14 donors and 9 team members, Aundrey's Warriors have raised $1,700 dollars.

For these warriors, Spina Bifida is more than a diagnosis, it's a journey and they are fundraising to help make the journey a little easier for Aundrey and every other child and family navigating this life. And with the Spina Bifida Associaiton of Kentucky, no one has to be alone on their spina bifida journey!

Audrey shows her family what strength, resilience, and determination look like every day. She reminds them that a diagnosis should never define what someone is capable of accomplishing. 💛

Their hope is for a future where every person with Spina Bifida has the support and opportunities they need to live life to the fullest.

Every donation , share, prayer, and word of encouragement helps Team Audrey move closer to that vision.

Think you’re not a fundraiser? Think again!

There’s no “right” way to raise money for Walk-N-Roll. Whether you love talking to people, creating things, hosting events, or simply sharing on social media, there’s a fundraising idea that can work for you!

Here are a few ways to get started:

📣 Share WHY you’re fundraising!
Tell your story and help others understand why the Walk-N-Roll and the Spina Bifida community matter to you. People give because they connect with the who and the why. Post your fundraising link, share your progress, and ask your friends and family to help you reach your goal. If you don't ask, the answer is always no!

Reach out to local businesses!
Ask businesses to sponsor your team, make a donation, or donate a raffle item. You never know who may be looking for a way to give back! Start at the places you spend your money, like: Insurance Agent, Pharmacy, Realtor, or Hairdresser

Sell something!
Create Walk-N-Roll T-shirts, bracelets, stickers, baked goods, or crafts and donate the proceeds to your team.

Host a fundraiser!
Try a restaurant give-back night, car wash, yard sale, trivia night, bingo, pancake breakfast, or another event your friends and family would enjoy.

Set a fun challenge!
Pick a fundraising goal and make it fun! Maybe you’ll wear a silly costume when you reach $500, do 100 push-ups when you hit $1,000, or let your donors choose your next challenge.

Ask your workplace!
See if your employer offers matching gifts, would be willing to make a team donation, or sponsor your fundraising efforts.

Invite others to join your team!
You don't have to do this alone. Ask friends, family, coworkers, neighbors, or your favorite group to join your team and help you spread the word. Maybe asking for money is intimidating, but you know a family member who would be happy to help; get them on your team and utilize their unique talents!

Fundraising isn't about how much you raise. It's about the difference you help make.

A $5 donation. A shared post. A business sponsorship. A new team member. A creative fundraiser. It all adds up.
