💙 Thursday evening was one of those nights that stays with you.

At the MADD Kentucky Law Enforcement Recognition Ceremony, we gathered to honor the officers, agencies, victims, survivors, advocates, and community partners who pour their hearts into preventing impaired driving and supporting those forever changed by these tragic crashes. It was a night filled with emotion, reflection, and profound gratitude.

To every law enforcement officer who shows up day after day with courage, compassion, and unwavering dedication — thank you. You don’t just enforce laws; you save lives, protect families, and stand guard over our communities in ways most people never see. 🚔💛

To the victims and survivors who joined us — your presence was powerful. Your strength, your resilience, and your willingness to share space with us are reminders of why this mission matters so deeply. Your stories are carried in every step of this work, and your courage inspires us to keep pushing forward. ❤️

We are also incredibly grateful for the volunteers, caterers, venue staff, and every person behind the scenes who helped bring this ceremony to life. Events like this don’t just happen — they are built with love, teamwork, and a shared belief in safer roads and stronger communities. 🤝✨

We were proud to see LMPD represented by three remarkable officers whose dedication truly shined:

⭐ Detective Daniel Burnett – 50 DUI arrests in 2025
⭐ Officer Mark Girten Jr. – 213 DUI arrests in 2025, the highest in the Commonwealth of Kentucky
⭐ Officer Nathan Stotts – 45 DUI arrests in 2025

Standing with them was former LMPD officer Eric Lee, also recognized for his impactful work and continued commitment to this mission.

These individuals — and everyone honored Thursday evening — remind us that this fight is personal. It’s about protecting families, preventing heartbreak, and ensuring no one else has to endure the pain of losing someone to impaired driving.

💛 Thank you to everyone who joined us, supported us, and continues to stand with MADD Kentucky. Together, we are creating safer roads, stronger communities, and hope for a future free from impaired driving.

🍔💙 A huge THANK YOU to Jaggers on Westport Road for hosting members of our 8th Division and their Advisory Board Thursday evening! 👮‍♂️👮‍♀️

It was the perfect way to unwind, enjoy a delicious burger, and meet our officers in a relaxed, informal setting. Folks grabbed dinner, chatted with the team, learned about upcoming Division events — and yes… plenty of milkshakes were enjoyed too! 🥤😄

Partnerships like this with local businesses help bring officers and neighbors together in ways you might not expect. It’s community policing over great food, good conversations, and genuine connection. 🤝🍟

Thank you again, Jaggers, for being such a supportive community partner! 🙌
