Have you taken your RMD yet?

If you're age 73 or older and taking Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs), you may want to consider a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) as part of your charitable giving plans.

So, what is a QCD? It’s a gift made directly from your IRA to a qualified charitable organization. Instead of taking the distribution yourself, you instruct your IRA custodian to send the funds directly to The Catholic Education Foundation.

QCDs are available beginning at age 70½, and in 2026 an eligible individual may make up to $111,000 in QCDs. When IRS requirements are met, the distribution is generally excluded from taxable income. If you have an RMD, the amount you give through a QCD may also count toward satisfying all or part of your RMD for the year.

It can be a simple way to use retirement assets to support a cause that matters to you! Please consult your tax or financial advisor regarding your individual circumstances.
