🚨 A potentially dangerous severe weather setup is taking shape for Monday, May 18th across parts of the Plains and Midwest. The latest TORCON outlook from The Weather Channel and Dr. Greg Forbes highlights an elevated tornado threat from Oklahoma and Kansas into portions of Nebraska, Iowa, and Wisconsin.

The highest tornado potential currently appears centered near parts of Kansas and surrounding areas, where conditions could become favorable for rotating supercells capable of producing tornadoes, large damaging hail, and destructive wind gusts.

🌪️ Areas from Oklahoma City to Wichita, Kansas City, Omaha, and toward parts of Wisconsin should closely monitor forecast updates through the weekend as this system continues to develop.

⚠️ Main threats:
• Tornadoes
• Large damaging hail
• Damaging wind gusts

Confidence in at least a significant severe weather event is increasing, and additional updates from NOAA SPC will continue over the next 24-48 hours as finer details become clearer.
