Alternatives to Violence Working toward a violence free community Alternatives to Violence is a Loveland based, nonprofit organization that is working to help victims of violent crimes.

We help hundreds of victims every year by providing the following services: 24 hour crisis intervention, advocacy & support, support group, community education, emergency services, information & referrals, transition living program, and a safehouse for recovery. All services are confidential and free of charge.

ONE WEEK FROM TODAY! Make a day of it in Downtown Loveland on Saturday, September 12. Two great, family-friendly events offering a ton of fun! One of our biggest fundraisers, Pastels on 5th, Loveland, CO starts at 10AM on 5th Street 🎨 Watch as the streets of Downtown Loveland come to life with incredible chalk art. Enjoy live music, food vendors, an artisan marketplace and more!

Then head to 4th Street for the 4th Street Block Party to celebrate a newly completed block of 4th Street! Spend the afternoon exploring the new street, supporting local businesses and enjoying everything happening on the block: live music, live art demonstrations, sidewalk sales, a community chalk mural, craft b**r and bites from local restaurants.

Alternatives to Violence is incredibly grateful for a $50,000 2026 Impact Fund Grant from Larimer County that will help provide professional mental health therapy to adult and adolescent victims of violent crime. This support helps survivors access the care they need to heal, rebuild and move forward. We are grateful for Larimer County’s commitment to creating a safer, healthier community for everyone.
