We were honored to host the National Honor Guard Academy at the Loveland-Symmes Fire Department. This exceptional training opportunity brought together dedicated public safety professionals from 13 organizations and four states that are committed to the highest level of dignity, discipline, and respect.
An honor guard serves as a visible symbol of service, tradition, and sacrifice. Whether standing watch at memorial services, honoring fallen first responders, participating in ceremonial events, or representing the fire service in the community, honor guard members help preserve the values and legacy of our profession.
Thank you to the National Honor Guard Academy for sharing their expertise and helping strengthen the traditions that unite and inspire us. We are proud to support the continued development of honor guard programs and the men and women who serve with professionalism and pride.

🐸 In March of 1972, a Loveland police officer radioed in that he had seen something crouched on the road in the dark, and southwest Ohio has been arguing about it ever since.

The story actually goes back further. A businessman claimed an encounter in 1955 with several upright creatures under a bridge outside town. Then came the 1972 reports from two different officers within a few weeks of each other, one of whom said he fired at the thing. Years later that same officer said what he saw was a large iguana that had gotten loose from somebody's house, which should have ended the entire legend and absolutely did not.

Loveland has leaned into it in the best possible way. 🌙 There is merchandise, there is a festival, there is even a musical. The Frogman has gone from local monster to unofficial town mascot, which is probably the most Ohio outcome available.

Our crews as well as our mutual aid partners responded to Burger King in Symmes Twp for an exhaust hood fire reported by patrons passing by. Fire was coming from the roof. Fire was extinguished quick without extension further into the structure. Great work by all companies. No injuries were reported and all workers were out safe.

This morning our crews and mutual aid partners responded to the Loveland Post Office for a fire on the loading dock that extended to the break room and four mail trucks. Great work by all. Postal Inspectors investigating the incident. Post Office was able to open for business.
