Public Works is proud to announce that Solid Waste Division Manager Tyler Bandemer is recognized for leadership in waste reduction and recycling with a Distinguished Individual Achievement Award from the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA).

“I am truly honored to receive this recognition. None of this would have been possible without the talented team at the City of Loveland and the residents who have embraced these programs. Together, we've leveraged technology to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and make our workplace safer. That engagement is what has allowed Loveland to maintain a 60 percent residential diversion rate and lead Colorado's waste reduction efforts.”

All City offices and most facilities will be closed on Monday, September 7, 2026, in observance of Labor Day. Some service schedules will also be altered. Here's the info:

🏦City Offices
⭕️All City administrative offices will be closed. Utility payments can be dropped off or made online. For payment options, visit: lovgov.org/UtilityBilling.
Pulse Fiber Internet customers can contact 970-744-4226 for 24/7/365 technical support or log in to their account for bill pay and service requests.

🗑️Trash & Recycling
⭕️The Recycling Center is normally closed on Mondays.
⚠️Collection for residential curbside trash and recycling will be delayed by one day after the holiday.

🚌Transportation
⭕️There will be no City of Loveland Transit (C**T) bus service. C**T offices will be closed.

📍Things To Do
✅Golf Loveland courses will be open.
✅Winona Outdoor Pool will be open 10-5 p.m. for the last day of the season.
✅Visit Loveland's East Gateway Visitor's Center will be open.
⭕️The downtown Visitors Center, located inside the Loveland Museum, is normally closed on Mondays.

At a Sept. 1 study session, Loveland's City Council requested that staff prepare a resolution temporarily suspending the City's processing of land use applications for certain types of data centers. The City has not received any applications for proposed data centers. If passed, this resolution would prevent any City consideration of applications for data centers using 10 Megawatts of electricity or more, as well as any facility requiring industrial scale cooling methods. City Council will consider this resolution at their next meeting at 6 p.m. on Sept. 15 in City Council Chambers, 500 E. Third St.

In addition to the regular meeting agenda, City Council will hold a study session to discuss data center development standards.

A large audience is expected, so we encourage virtual attendance as seating is limited in the physical spaces. You can participate in-person, virtually over Zoom, or by telephone. Find more info on participating in the agenda.

Contributing to the overall mission of the division and organization, this position is the primary point of contact for internal and external fleet customers, ensures accuracy of asset inventory and records using fleet software while providing balanced and effective flow of work for repair and maintenance of a complex and diverse fleet of heavy, light duty, and off-road vehicles including emergency response and fire apparatus.
