We've got a lot going in our classrooms! Students kicked off the first unit of Modern America—focused on Reconstruction—by going back to where it all began: the Civil War. To understand how the nation was rebuilt, teams collaborated over a homemade version of Risk, analyzing political maps and strategically maneuvering to preserve the Union...all while picking up a few historical lessons about dysentery along the way.

Our brand-new Ferguson students took on the great outdoors last week with an unforgettable field trip to Colorado Youth Outdoors. From mastering the patience of fishing on the water to building precision on the archery range, we could not be more proud of our new students. Thank you for stepping out of your comfort zones, supporting each other, and learning what being part of the Ferguson Family is all about.

We stepped back in history at Ferguson High School today! This morning, we were honored to host some incredible visitors from our past—including our very first secretary, a former health aide, a former teacher/counselor, and an FHS alumnus!

From meager beginnings as “Washington Alternative High School” in 1972, to our years on Eisenhower and Hilltop Drive, and now in our current state-of-the-art campus - FHS has always been a place built on community, personal growth, and student success. Giving this group a tour of our modern building and sharing memories was a true blast from the past.
