🚧 COMMUNITY NOTICE – ROAD CLOSURE / SPECIAL EVENT 🚧
The City of Lovelock would like to notify residents that on Friday, May 22, 2026, Elmhurst Ave. will be closed from Western Ave. to 12th Street from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM for the Lovelock Paiute Tribe Health Fair.
During the event, a Battle Born medical helicopter will be landing on Elmhurst Ave. between 11th Street and 12th Street for community demonstrations and public education.
⚠️ IMPORTANT HELICOPTER SAFETY REMINDERS: • Stay behind all barricades and safety personnel
• Keep children and pets under close supervision
• Never approach the helicopter unless directed by flight crew or emergency personnel
• Secure loose items such as hats, umbrellas, blankets, and debris
• Be aware that loud noise and strong winds may occur during landing and takeoff
• The helicopter may be required to leave immediately with little or no notice if dispatched to an emergency call
Residents are advised to plan for alternate travel routes and to be aware of higher than normal vehicle and foot traffic in the area throughout the event.
We appreciate the community’s cooperation in helping make this event safe and successful for everyone.

🚛🗑️ FRIENDLY TRASH PICKUP REMINDER 🗑️🚛

To help ensure your garbage is collected on schedule, please place your trash cans out the night before your scheduled pickup day. Routes may begin early in the morning, and late placement could result in a missed pickup.

✅ Place cans curbside the evening before
✅ Make sure lids are closed
✅ Keep carts clear of vehicles and obstacles

If your trash is missed due to late placement, it will be added to the next day’s pickup route, but residents must call the office to report the missed pickup.
