Pershing County Commissioner Carol Shank challenges White Pine County to a friendly Census Response Challenge!

As of today, 42.3% of Pershing County households have completed the census versus 43.3% of White Pine households.

The census is important, safe and easy. It take less than 10 minutes to fill out (online: census.nv.gov, by phone: 844.330.2020, or by mail) and ensures our community and state receive our fair share of federal funding. Every Nevadan who is counted is $20,000 our state receives for health care services, education, roads, etc.

Let’s keep federal funds in Nevada and let’s beat White Pine in our self-response rate!

The loser of the challenge must present a local gift basket to the opposing county commission.

Pershing County Public Library, Pershing County Economic Development Authority, Pershing County Senior Center, Pershing County Law Enforcement Association: Let's get the word out!

And to White Pine County Tourism & Recreation, White Pine County Library, White Pine Chamber of Commerce, The Ely Times: Good luck, have fun!
