SBA Disaster Assistance Available for Nevada Businesses and Private Nonprofits
The U.S. Small Business Administration recently announced the availability of low-interest federal disaster loans for eligible small businesses and private nonprofit organizations impacted by the drought beginning June 2. The primary counties include Eureka and Lander, with the contiguous counties including Churchill, Elko, Humnboldt, Nye, Pershing, and White Pine.
Please find information regarding the announcement, disaster declaration (FRN) and fact sheet attached. Also attached is information regarding federal disaster loans for economic losses stemming from the Pack Fire.

Pershing County would like to congratulate Carmen on her retirement and recognize her for 11½ years of dedicated service to Pershing County as a Custodian!
For more than a decade, Carmen has worked hard behind the scenes to keep our County facilities clean, welcoming, and ready for our employees and community each day. Her dedication and contributions have been greatly appreciated, and she will certainly be missed.

Join Us in Welcoming Our New Emergency Manager!
Pershing County is pleased to welcome Joey Loehner as our new Emergency Manager!
Joey brings an impressive background in emergency medical services, emergency planning, disaster response, and public safety leadership. Throughout his career, he has served as a Flight Paramedic, Registered Nurse, EMS Planning Officer, Clinical Education Manager, and most recently as the CEO of a helicopter air ambulance organization. He also holds extensive emergency management training, including FEMA Incident Command System (ICS) certifications, and has coordinated emergency resources for large-scale events and complex incidents.

As Emergency Manager, Joey will work closely with our first responders, local agencies, community partners, and residents to strengthen emergency preparedness, improve response capabilities, and help ensure Pershing County is ready for whatever challenges may arise.

Please join us in giving Joey a warm Pershing County welcome! We are excited to have him on our team and look forward to the experience, knowledge, and leadership he brings to our community.
