It's still summer but August is coming up fast!! Story hour picks back up Tuesday August 25th with Ms. Blanca from 10-11AM. Every Tuesday AND FRIDAY (🤯) kiddos of all ages can join us for an hour of early literacy tools and cognitive skill development. Parents are also welcome to participate, and will learn strategies to engage your child's mind to bring them a future of success.

Story hour every Tuesday and Friday from 10-11AM. Registration required. All ages welcome. Limited to 20 kids per session. Bilingual activities incorporated.

It's that time of the month! Tomorrow is our Adults (ages 18+) MTG program @ 11AM. Come show us your awesome deck builds! Play a few rounds with other Magic the Gathering enthusiast! We can play standard and/or commander.
If you don't have a deck, no worries! We have some here at the library you can use. We also teach you how to play if you are new!

It's nearly that time!! We have 2 spots left for today's sessions (July 16th) and plenty of spots for tomorrow's (July 17th). Bring Your Own Book and bedazzle that thang!!

Alright y'all, the fax machine is back up! Thank you again to County IT for setting it straight.

Hi folks, the fax machine is down again so we made a picture to show how we feel about it. We will make another post when it's back up and running for you! Until then, we can still offer you free scanning and email services. Give us a call if you want to check before you come down!

The library will be closed Friday, July 3rd, for the Fourth of July holiday. Regular hours will resume July 4th @ 10AM (we know, we know).

Two programs coming in hot!!

Tonight is another Family Game Night inside the library. From 5:30-8PM, bring the gang down and pick from over 100 board games!

Tomorrow, Saturday June 27th, is the second annual Smash Bros Ultimate tournament. Kids are from 10-11AM, and adults from 11-12PM. We'll take registrants until the end of the day today!

TONIGHT--Family Game Night starts at 5:30PM. We've got over 100 board, card, and video games to choose from. Get the gang together and try something new!

Happy summer vacation!! The festivities start this week with:

Pershing County Tetris competition: get the highest OG Tetris score in all of Pershing County and get some serious bragging rights! Running all summer long.

Summer Reading Challenge and a NEW Summer Reading Bingo: One kid and one adult who read the most amount of minutes over the summer break will win a free book of their choice (under $30)! And new this year, we have a summer reading bingo challenge. Read a book that satisfies the prompts and get a BINGO that you can redeem for some fun toys. These will run all summer long.

Lastly, Dungeons & Dragons for Teens: Our inaugural session is June 10th @ 3-6ish PM. This session is "A Most Potent Brew", and a group of 2-6 adventurers will get more than they bargained for when they accept a simple pest control job. Great for beginners and experienced teens alike. Dice and character sheet provided. See you there 🫡

It's aaaaaalmost summer vacation and we're so excited to see everyone, so we want to be upfront about some of our expectations ahead of time. There are only 3!

Please have a quick read-through of our rules and some examples, and share with your kiddos. We want everyone to have a good time, which means being cool to each other, especially in shared public spaces.
