Our mission is “With unwavering dedication, we protect life and property through professionalism, hard work, and fearless service.” miles. We operate out of three locations, Station One at 5180 Rock Valley Parkway, Station Two at 1527 Windsor Rd, and our administrative headquarters at 1535 Windsor Rd. Our city is comprised of primarily residential with a mix of industrial and commercial occupancie

s. We also protect the beautiful Rock Cut State Park which offers a mix of outdoor activities. The Loves Park Fire Department was formed in 1947 and currently operates with 24 full-time members and 10 part-time members who are all professional firefighters, EMT's and/or paramedics.

September is Emergency Preparedness Month! Did you know the Loves Park Fire Department has a Community Connect platform designed to help our first responders be better prepared to assist you during an emergency?

So, what is Community Connect?

It’s a secure online platform where residents can share important information with first responders, including pets in the home, medical or accessibility needs, property details, and anything else that could be helpful during an emergency.

🔒 Participation is completely voluntary, your information is kept secure and only accessible to first responders.

August was another busy month for LPFD! 🚒🔥

Throughout the month, our crews responded to 411 calls for service, including 305 medical calls and 106 fire, rescue, and other calls.

When we’re not responding to emergencies, our firefighters are staying ready through hands-on training, equipment checks and maintenance, and physical fitness. Every day is an opportunity to prepare for the next call and continue providing the best possible service to our community.

Last week, Captain of Inspections & Prevention Kara Schneider came together with the Loves Park Police Department at Harlem Township to talk emergency preparedness.

After being invited to participate the last few years, we were honored to be welcomed back again this year. We’re grateful to play a small part in an event that helps provide Christmas gifts, clothing, food, and other essentials to local families in need.

Yesterday, our crew stopped by The Courtyard at Loves Park to familiarize themselves with the building, resident spaces, and overall layout. 🚒 Getting to know facilities in our community helps our crews be better prepared and respond quickly and efficiently when an emergency arises.
