One thing our communities share is we have always been close knit. We have consistently kept our politics local. Whenever we had an issue pop up, we picked up the phone and made a call to have it addressed.

To see outside money funneled into Lowell and Chelmsford to support my opponent may be disappointing but not surprising.

Ask yourself, why would an organization out of Brooklyn, New York spend money to put a notice in your mailbox telling you I am bad for our community because I voted against allowing illegal drug injection sites into our neighborhoods?

Why would they tell you I am bad for our communities for voting against allowing 30 units of apartments or “condos” built on an acre of land? (Essentially eliminating single family neighborhoods)

On the other side of this mail piece, they tell you my opponent is good. That they will “stand up to special interest” yet special interest paid and distributed the mailer and the candidate has gratefully partnered and been funded by “special interest”.

We have a choice to make at the ballot box. Are we willing to allow special interest and their messengers to make decisions on Beacon Hill on our behalf? Or are we willing to collaboratively take a stand and demand our representation works for us and is held accountable by us.

A vote on or before Tuesday, September 01 for Corey M. Robinson is a clear expression that we object to outside influence, special interest, and those willing to carry their water. Let’s work together to correct these State created issues we discuss at our kitchen tables. Our families depend on it.

As we have been aware, if you follow the money it can lead you to what your brain has been telling you right along. Here in the 16th Middlesex District, State Representative race, if you follow the money, it leads you to “tourist” investors.

From Brooklyn to LongMeadow, what is frequently portrayed as a “Grass Roots” campaign full of “ rhetoric about “standing up to corporate interest” and community activism is merely another vehicle willing to carry “special interests “ agenda on Beacon Hill.

Our residents clearly are in need of real change. Change that isn’t beholden to special interests, party or identity politics, (all which have been demonstrated throughout this race), or the current status quo.

A vote for Corey M. Robinson on or before September 01 sends the residents of the 16th Middlesex District’s voice for the next two years. It sends an experienced advocate that has an established record of standing up to the establishment. It sends a neighbor that has been funded by our neighbors to Boston to begin the work correcting these feel good policies that have placed us in our current affordability, quality of life situation. Let’s get back to the kitchen table issues and send a message to outside investors as well as to the architects of the current broken system in the statehouse.

As a candidate for State Representative of the 16th Middlesex District, it is my duty to provide a plan to address the challenges our residents face as they are reviewing applicants resumes.

Affordable healthcare is important because access to medical care affects nearly every aspect of a person’s life, from physical well-being to financial security and economic opportunity.

When healthcare is affordable, people are more likely to receive preventive care, regular checkups, vaccinations, and early treatment for illnesses. This can reduce the severity of diseases, improve long-term health outcomes, and lower overall healthcare costs by preventing expensive emergency care or hospitalizations.

A vote for Corey M. Robinson on or before September 01 allows us to begin working together to address these kitchen table issues we are burdened with on day one. I humbly ask for your support.

Here is another installment of the policy playbook geared at addressing some of the challenges we face here in the 16th Middlesex District. A vote for Corey M. Robinson will allow us to begin the work needed to begin correcting these outdated formulas on day one.

As a candidate, I feel I have a responsibility to provide a path to correction. I am looking forward to collaborating with our many educators to improve this broken funding mechanism.

Here is another section of the policy playbook I am looking to bring to Beacon Hill. We are all very well aware of the utility costs that have spiraled out of control. Being aware will not correct the problems. As a candidate, I have a responsibility to not only demonstrate I am aware of the challenges we are all facing, I have an obligation to propose a path to correction.

We need a State Representative here in the 16th Middlesex District that understands not only where corrections are necessary but has a plan to do so. I am looking forward to working with our neighbors to make these necessary changes. We can’t afford to continue down this path.

As a candidate, I feel a responsibility to provide the residents of our district with a comprehensive explanation of the legislation I intend to collaborate with them on. The concerns they have expressed have prompted the development of a series of policy playbooks aimed at enhancing the quality of life for all of us. Here is the first in that series.

State provided, Unrestricted Local Aid is the lifeblood for many communities. When Local Aid is reduced or doesn’t keep up with a communities needs, services are either reduced or taxes on our residents go up.

Our Unrestricted Local Aid formula is and has been broken, shifting the burden onto our residents for quite sometime. Let’s work together to correct this vital resource and begin to ease some of the financial pressure we all have been experiencing,

Good Good Good News Climate solutions don’t have to be boring. Looking for ways to mitigate future flooding disasters after Hurricane Ida, New York City installed two new basketball courts that double as “sponges” to retain water during a flash flood.

Installed during Eric Adams’ mayoral administration, the Water Square court transformed once-derelict courts into a dual-purpose amenity for the surrounding community.

This race for the vacant State Representative seat in the 16th Middlesex District has highlighted something much bigger than politics: the challenges working residents face when choosing who will represent them.

As in any employment opportunity, voters deserve to be able to evaluate candidates based on what truly matters — experience, qualifications, leadership, judgment, and a proven ability to do the work.

Since announcing my candidacy, there have been personal political attacks directed at me and attempts to revisit matters that have already gone through the judicial process.

What these attacks do not question is my experience, my qualifications, my skillset, my record of public service, or my ability to represent our most valuable asset, the people of this district.

I have been through an incredibly difficult chapter that affected not only me, but my family as well. I respect our judicial system, I have always supported due process, and I unequivocally condemn domestic violence in any form. The matter was addressed through the appropriate legal process, and I believe it is important to respect that process and its resolution.

I also believe voters deserve better than politics that rely on attempted “political lynchings” causing distractions rather than a meaningful discussion about the issues affecting their families, their jobs, their neighborhoods, and their future.

I am not running for State Representative to participate in party politics or to seek the spotlight. I am running because I believe my experience as a city councilor, my record of serving residents, and my understanding of the challenges facing our communities have prepared me to do this job.

I will continue to focus on what matters: listening to residents, solving problems, and delivering results.

At the end of the day, I trust the voters to look beyond the noise, consider the facts, and make their decision based on the character, experience, and record of the person asking for their vote.
