Three of our Student Media journalists were published in the South Lake County Sun this past week.

Savannah Toigo's article, “The Summer Feeding Program Is Back,” was featured, along with Trevor Redmerski's “Recap: Athletic Senior Night.” Additionally, Gavin Slusarczyk had two articles published: “Mr. Govert, Assistant Principal, Goes for a Dive” and “Lowell Welding Students Achieve 100% Success on AWS Certification Exam.”

We are proud of all three journalists and their accomplishments. What a great way to end the school year strong!

🚨📵 BIG CHANGES FOR 2026-2027 📵🚨

Lowell High School will be implementing an updated cell phone policy for the 2026-2027 school year in accordance with Indiana Senate Bill 78 (SB 78).

Our goal is to create an environment that promotes:
❤️ Increased student engagement
📚 Focused learning
🤝 Better face-to-face connection
🏫 Fewer distractions during the school day

We appreciate everyone’s support as we work together to keep students focused, present, and successful at Lowell High School.

All seniors are required to attend school Friday, May 29th and be present for our Graduation rehearsal at 12:35pm. Any attendance conflicts must contact Mr. Goeringer at the High School.

Fun was had by all at the Special Needs Prom hosted by the Red Devil Peer Mentor Program. The dance floor was never empty at this party! 🔥

Three of our Student Media journalists were published in the South Lake County Sun this past week. The journalists were Savannah Toigo, with her article “32 Years of Excellence: A Spotlight on Library Media Director Mrs. Kozma”; Maddy Lambert, who wrote “AP Testing Has Arrived”; and Alexis Mecha, who wrote “Earn the Ending: Softball Seniors’ Final Hurrah!”

We are proud of all three of them. Way to end the school year strong!
