We’re kicking off our first Wellness Challenge of the year with Walktober, running October 1–31! Students, parents, and staff are all invited to join the CA Step Crushers as we compete against other Community Schools to see who can get the most steps. Prizes will be awarded. Steps will be tracked through the Step Up app, and you don’t need a wearable device—your phone can track your steps as long as you have it with you while walking. Get moving, have fun, and help the Career Academy earn some prizes!

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our beloved security guard, Mr. Cruz. Mr. Cruz made an incredible difference in lives of so many students and will be missed dearly by the entire Career Academy family. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time.
