**Guards of the Week**

Alessandra and Madison are McPherson’s “Guards of the Week”! They are both two new guards who have demonstrated lots of growth, teamwork, and communication! We loved to have them as new additions to our team!

Amelia and Nzilani are South Common's “Guards of the Week”! They are committed to keeping our facility safe and clean. As guards, they have demonstrated responsibility, teamwork, and safety. We loved having them apart of our team this year!

And that’s a wrap on Summer 2026! ☀️ We hope your children had a fun summer with us!!

Thank you to all of our community partners that helped make these programs educational and fun for these kiddos! Whether you ran workshops, did presentations, helped with crafts, brought books for them to read, made breakfasts and lunches, gave out shaved ice, etc! These kids will remember the time & experience you gave them for years to come.

Week 5 continued! We ended the week with more theme days such as a new favorite “Rhyme without Reason” where you had to pick a partner and each dress up as something that rhymed with each other. The creativity was great! More visits from our friends at Good Vibes Shaved Ice and the Lowell Fire Department! Also our Lifeguards had their annual “End of the Summer” celebration 🏊🏼‍♀️🎉 Thankful for everyone’s hard work and dedication this summer to keep our participants and the public safe while having fun!

Week 5 ☀️

Lots of theme days such as Twin Day, Sports Day, Wacky Wednesday & Luau Day! Visits from Good Vibes Shaved Ice to keep us cool 🍧 Workshops from Jeanne D'Arc Credit Union and presentations from the Lowell Fire Department to educate us on saving money and fire safety. Also a physical training session with the Lowell Police Department (Official) to help keep us active and healthy!

**Guards of the Week**

Ami and Matt are McPherson’s “Guards of the Week”. Ami is a veteran guard who is always willing to help others. Whether it’s patrons or fellow coworkers, Ami is always there to give a helping hand. Her friendly personality make her a great person to have on this team!

Matt strives in all aspects of work and consistently goes above and beyond to make sure the job is done right. His dedication and hard-work make him a great example of what it means to be a McPherson lifeguard!

South Common's “Guard of the Week” is Kate. She is a great guard that demonstrates teamwork, commitment, and responsibility. She brings a happy attitude and makes a positive impact on our community!
