Proactive Patrol Leads to Two Arrests

In early-March, LPD Neighborhood Response Unit Officers patrolling the Back Central neighborhood arrested an adult male and adult female for trespassing. During the arrest, officers located 28.42 grams of co***ne, 20.32 grams of he**in, and 14.81 grams of fentanyl in the adult female’s bag. The narcotics were seized and the adult female received additional charges including Trafficking Fentanyl (10 grams or more), Trafficking He**in (18 grams or more), and Trafficking Co***ne (18 grams or more).

On June 4, 2026, the Lowell Police Department Special Investigations Section, Warrant Unit, Gang Unit, Neighborhood Response Unit, Traffic Unit, Motorcycle Unit, and the Criminal Investigations Bureau conducted a citywide proactive enforcement operation in response to community concerns. The operation resulted in 71 arrests and 99 citations.
