Congratulations to Dee Drolet on being recognized today with a Distinguished Young Professional Award by the Greater Lowell Chamber of Commerce!

Dee’s tenacity, compassion, and dedication to community support are felt every day through her work overseeing the Permanent Supportive Housing Program, where she helps support more than 35 clients with care, consistency, and heart.

Balancing that important work while also competing as a professional football player is no small feat — but Dee continues to show that strength, discipline, and resilience translate both on and off the field.

We are incredibly proud to see her hard work and leadership recognized by the Greater Lowell community. Congratulations, Dee!

🎨 Today at LTLC, creativity took center stage.

A huge thank you to Mary from the All Arts League of Lowell for leading our very first Neurographical Art session with some of our guests. Through color, movement, and abstract design, participants had the opportunity to slow down, decompress, and express themselves in a completely different way.

Homelessness is often an incredibly stressful and traumatic experience, and moments like these matter more than people realize. Art can provide a sense of calm, focus, confidence, and even joy during difficult times. There were no “wrong answers” today — just creativity, conversation, and people allowing themselves to make something uniquely their own.

Seeing our community come together to offer experiences like this reminds us that support comes in many forms. Sometimes, healing starts with something as simple as a paintbrush and a blank page. 💙

Thank you again to Mary and the All Arts League of Lowell for helping make today a meaningful and uplifting experience for our guests.

Community is built in moments like these. 💙

A heartfelt thank you to the incredible women of the Lowell Delta Psi Sigma Sorority who came to LTLC to serve our guests an amazing three-course meal — topped off with a Sunday bar that was definitely a crowd favorite! Moments like this go far beyond food. They remind our guests that they are seen, valued, and part of a community that cares.

These inspiring young women represent an impressive group of local schools including UMass Lowell, Northeastern University, Boston University, and Middlesex Community College, and they brought with them not just great food, but kindness, energy, and genuine fellowship.

To the entire Delta Psi Sigma group: thank you for spending your time with us and for showing what community service truly looks like. We are so grateful for you!

✨Grateful doesn’t even begin to cover it.✨

Last Friday, LaBella Hair studio did something truly special—they closed their doors so our LTLC guests could receive full-on VIP treatment. Fresh cuts, real care, and a whole lot of dignity. 💇🏽‍♀️💇🏻‍♂️
For many of the people we serve, something as simple as scheduling a haircut can be surprisingly hard to pull off. LaBella removed every barrier and met folks with warmth, patience, and respect.

There’s a lot of misinformation out there about the people we serve—and about the work we do—that can make this mission feel heavier than it needs to be. But moments like this? They cut right through the noise. They remind us why we show up every day.

Thank you, LaBella, for seeing our guests as people first and for using your craft to lift others up. Acts of kindness like yours don’t just change appearances—they change how people feel about themselves. And that’s everything. 💙✂️

💙 **Community Gratitude Post** 💙

We are officially two and a half months into Winter Protocol, and we need to pause and say **thank you**. What we’ve witnessed over these past weeks has been nothing short of incredible.

Because of the generosity of our community, **just through donations alone**, we’ve been able to provide:

* **60 cots**
* **Over 125 blankets**
* **Over 1,000 hand warmers**
* **Over 215 pairs of gloves**
* **Over 1,000 pairs of socks**

And that’s only part of the story. We’ve also received **countless meals**, **Christmas gifts**, and **volunteer support** that have helped us respond quickly and compassionately during some of the coldest and most unpredictable months of the year.

Living in New England means the weather can change at the drop of a hat—but because of *you*, we are better prepared to meet those changes head-on. Your kindness helps ensure that people facing homelessness have warmth, dignity, and safety when they need it most.

We truly could not do this work without the support of this community. Every donation, every volunteer shift, every act of care makes a real and tangible difference. From all of us, and from those we serve

Thank you for standing with us this winter❄️🤍

Huge THANK YOU to The Cheesecake Factory for spending their time with us and going above and beyond for our unhoused community 💙

Not only did their team serve meals, they rolled up their sleeves and cooked inside the shelter—and yes… they brought cheesecake too 🍰👏

We’re incredibly grateful for their continued fellowship, generosity, and heart.
Partnerships like this remind us how powerful community can be when people show up with kindness (and dessert).

Thank you for feeding bellies, lifting spirits, and making our shelter feel a little more like home. 💫
