We are a living history farm featuring several attraction areas depicting rural lifestyles from 1850 to early 1900s

-1850s pioneer farm

We feature several events throughout the year catered to the inner curious and adventurous child in all of us. Boasting live farm animals, friendly and knowledgeable staff, open fields, and nature trails. This is the perfect place to take the family on a lazy Sunday afternoon, or a brisk autumn hay ride (horse drawn or tractor). With just 8 days until Fall Fest at Buckley Homestead, we wanted to highlight some of the great food vendors who will be joining us this year!
Come hungry and enjoy a variety of delicious options, including:

The Original Fall Fest Poster hangs framed on the wall in the Maintenance Facility at the Park. It is from 1979 the first year of the program that is now known as Fall Fest. This year is the 48th year of this community festival. We are proud of the new additions we add, but even prouder to be stewards of this uniquely Northwest Indiana tradition.

Hopefully we will see you for the first or 48th time:

Looking for a piece of authentic 19th-century fun? 🎃🌀
In 1800s rural Indiana schoolhouses, manufactured toys were rare. Like limb-jacks, button whizzers, and corn-husk dolls, dried spinning gourds served as a staple natural toy across the Midwest.
