Education day did not disappoint!
Last night, we had the opportunity to do some advanced airway management training led by our own Jonathon J. He, along with help from a few other staff members, reviewed best practices and gave us hands-on training that is essential to the continued success of our providers.

Starting today and throughout this entire week, we celebrate our EMS clinicians we have here at Lower Burrell EMS. Our staff is comprised of some of the most skilled and compassionate professionals that the industry has to offer and we are fortunate to have them here in LB!
This year's theme is "improving outcomes together". We will be kicking off the week tomorrow with some in house training working on difficult airway situations. We appreciate our staff and the contributions they make to facilitate this type of intense education!

Be sure to thank your local EMS professionals! The hours are long and the work they do is essential to our communities!

All of us at LBVFC #3 EMS would like to wish our friends at Westmoreland County D.P.S/911 a very Happy TCO Week!!!! It isn't often the voices get to be celebrated, but this week, we certainly will!
Thank you all for being the calm in the craziness and always listening out for us. We support you, we appreciate you, and we say THANK YOU!

This week our Director and Supervisor, along with several of our employees were able to attend the EMS Update conference at Seven Springs Resort. They were fortunate to have the opportunity to connect with colleagues, have valuable conversations with our vendors and medical directors, and attend several education sessions.
We would also like to congratulate two of our ALS providers who taught several classes sharing their knowledge with those in attendance. Jonathon and Samantha did a fantastic job with their presentations!
We are so proud of their commitment to not only our service, but helping provide education to others!

Lower Burrell VFC #3 EMS is looking to recruit new members of our team!
Our service has immediate openings for PART TIME/CASUAL EMTs, AEMTs, and Paramedics. We are the primary providers of 911 coverage for The City of Lower Burrell and parts of Upper Burrell Township, and provide mutual aid to surrounding communities. Our service is primarily 911 based with few NET's.
We offer a faced paced, progressive service that focuses on patient care and being present in our community for events, education, and support to those who need it.
*Candidates must be willing to work daylight, overnight, and weekend shifts.
*Candidates must possess a current EMT certification, current BLS CPR, valid Pa drivers license, EVDT or EVOC, EMSVO, and have current required background clearances per PADOH. ALS providers must be eligible for UPMC Medical Command.

The members and staff of Lower Burrell EMS are deeply saddened to learn of the loss of our friend and WCDPS - 911 Communications Specialist Marc Taylor.

Marc was a dedicated public servant who's good humor, commitment, and friendship will be missed by all who knew him.

We extend our deepest condolences to his family, loved ones, and his extended 911 family. Marc will be missed and fondly remembered by all who were fortunate to know him.
