Road work is progressing well. Just FYI, the slower you drive through the work zone, the less dust will be generated on those citizens living in the area.
The EDC and MDD meet next Tuesday at 7 pm.
We start the "ber" months next week, but we won't be brrrr for good while yet. Enjoy summer while you can.

The Administrative office will be closed to the public this afternoon. We will be working from home due to the road construction. They are getting ready to mix the cement in in front of the office and I would not recommend driving through it. If you do, wash it off right away.

BURN BAN IN EFFECT: The Fire Marshal requested the Commissioners Court to establish a 90 day outdoor burn ban for the unincorporated areas of the county due to worsening drought conditions. This request has been approved and is now in effect for the next 90 days.

Have been advised there are tree trimmers out along southern part of Bridgefarmer Road and currently have the southbound lane blocked. One lane traffic - expect delays.
