PUBLIC NOTICE - WE ARE MOVING!
As most of you may know, a lot of construction and renovation is taking place within the County. A new County Highway building is being constructed and the Social Services building is undergoing a major renovation. After these projects are completed the old County Highway building will also be renovated and will become our new home. Because projects are happening simultaneously we required a temporary office space.
Sometime in the next few weeks we will be leaving our Outer Stowe Street location and will not be returning. Our temporary office will be located at 5960 Main Street Glenfield NY 13343, Room 104 of the former Glenfield Elementary School. This will be our home in the interim until the renovations of our new offices are complete at the corner of NYS Route 812 and the East Road.
Moving from our current building will begin on August 1st, and will start with the Dept. of Social Services. We are 6th on the list to be moved, but do not have a concrete date as to when it will happen yet.
Please check our website and FaceBook page for up to date information on the move.
Please continue to use our current mailing address until we post notice that it has changed.
We will continue to take water samples on Wednesdays only between 8:00am and 10:00am at our new location.
Please be patient with us as we are packing to make the transition.
As always, there are times all staff will be needed in the field and it is best to call ahead and make an appointment so that we can best serve you.
We apologize for any confusion. If you are unsure of where we are or have questions feel free to call our office at 315-376-6122.

Our phones are down temporarily. We apologize for the inconvenience and will let you know when our phone service has been restored.
Today the District visited South Lewis’s 3rd grade classes to teach water conservation. The team did three demonstrations with the first being a ground water model. The second was a demonstration showing the effects streams and rivers can have on eroding our banks. The final was a demonstration on nonpoint source pollution and its effects on our watershed. At the end the students divided up into two groups and competed in a game of Water Jeopardy. Even while having to adapt to weather, the day turned out to be full of fun and education!
Yesterday's 12th Annual Black River Watershed Conference was a great success! Thank you to all who attended!
