Wildlife Wonderland

Wildlife Wonderland A animal rescue providing permanent homes for exotic animals, offering educational tours & programs.
(1)

Wildlife Wonderland is very passionate about each and every species that is part of our troop and we take great pride in being able to educate kids and adults about the animals statuses the wild, the affect we have on the environment and the truth of what sacrifice goes in to taking these animals on as "pets". a lot of our videos and such are cute an funny but don't let that fool you in to thinkin

g any of these babies are at all easy, in fact as a mother of 3 I would consider it equal to having a toddler. I hope we are able to open eyes and prevent people from impulsively buying exotics.

‼️ Abigail the Highway Dog is officially OUT of quarantine… and immediately got jumped in by the emus. 😂😭

✅She got the green light from our vet that she is parasite free and safe to start getting out and socializing and apparently the emus decided that meant it was time for her official Wildlife Wonderland initiation. 😂

😅I wish I could say this doesn’t happen often but Bonnie got the exact same treatment when she arrived… except she literally crapped herself. 😭
Abigail is doing really well though! ❤️ She’s socializing great and while we’ve noticed a little resource guarding with food and attention those are things we’ll continue working on so hopefully we can eventually find this sweet girl the perfect forever home.

I also know everyone has been asking for updates about the animals and everything going on. I’ve only been able to share things very sparingly which is frustrating for me too. I’ll be speaking with our attorney today and hopefully we’ll be able to share more afterward. Just hang in there with us. ❤️

‼️And THANK YOU to everyone who has stepped up and supported us through this. You guys are making sure we are not put in a position where we are unable to fight for these animals and I cannot express how much that means to us. The animals are thankful & incredibly blessed to have so many people standing behind Wildlife Wonderland. ❤️

For now Abigail is free from quarantine and learning the ropes… and the emus remain absolute bullies. 😂🦤

‼️MY FIRST TIME FINALLY GOING ON LEMUR ISLANDDDD!!!!

💪After what has genuinely been one of the hardest weeks of my entire life, I haven’t been posting much. But I’m back and today I needed a little break from everything going on to remember exactly what we’re fighting so hard for.

❤️‍🔥Believe it or not, I had NEVER actually gone out onto Lemur Island since we finished it. So this was my very first time going out there to feed everyone… and I don’t even know how to explain how amazing it was. 🥹

❤️Being out there, up close and personal, surrounded by the lemurs while they climbed, explored, ate and just enjoyed their lives was one of the coolest experiences I’ve ever had. I’m completely over the moon that I finally got to experience what we worked so hard to build for them.

This is Wildlife Wonderland. ❤️

❣️This beautiful little piece of wildlife wonderland we built this year is exactly why we are fighting so hard to keep these animals here. They deserve this life. They deserve their home, their space, their routines and everything we have worked so hard to give them.

🙏I am praying with everything i have that we’re able to keep them right here where they belong. And to every single person who has donated, shared, spoken up or stood beside us through this thank you. Your support is helping us fight to protect the lives we built for them.

Tomorrow I’ll be back with an update about everything happening with the county. For today, I just wanted to enjoy my babies. ❤️🐒

‼️COME WORK WITH US‼️Finding consistent volunteers has been challenging, so I’m thinking a little outside the box. I have an RV hookup available on the property and I’d love to find the right person who may be interested in trading a place to stay for helping with the day to day care and upkeep of the rescue.

❣️This isn’t a paid position at this time but hiring dedicated help is one of my biggest goals as we continue to grow. Ideally, I’d love to find someone who wants to grow alongside the animals an I and become a real part of Wildlife Wonderland.

If this sounds like something that could fit your life, send me a message. Maybe we can help each other build something more besitiful for the animals.

‼️I don’t even know if I’ll ever be able to put into words how grateful I am for every single person who has shown up for us through all of this.

❣️With everything happening right now, I am a mental and emotional hot mess, and you guys are carrying me through this in a way I genuinely cannot explain. Allowing me to stay strong so i can focus on keeping these animals safe and sound through this injustice.

🤺The way you guys have stepped up to protect the animals of Wildlife Wonderland is unlike anything I have ever experienced.

🏠When I started this rescue in my kitchen with my best friend before my divorce, I could have never imagined this. I never imagined that this little rescue would grow into what it is today, or that one day when we needed people the most, so many of you would stand beside us and say, “We’re not letting you do this alone.”

❤️🐒🐍I say it all the time but I need you to understand how much I mean it YOU ARE WILDLIFE WONDERLAND.

🛠️You are behind every enclosure we build. Every happy fed animal. Every vet visit. Every rescue and intake. Every improvement. Every piece of growth you have watched happen over the years.
You made that all possible!

🌱You have kept this rescue alive during times when I genuinely didn’t know if we would see another day. You believed in this mission enough to keep pushing it forward and I will forever be indebted to each and every supporter for that.

🫂Some of you were here when we had only a handful of followers. You believed in me before there was much of anything to believe in and somehow, all these years later you’re STILL here. Except now that little group has grown into this enormous family of people standing together to protect OUR rescue and OUR animals.

❤️‍🔥That is one of the most beautiful things I have ever experienced. It has restored my faith in humanity in ways I desperately needed and it makes every hateful comment, every nasty DM and every person who has tried to tear us down feel so incredibly small compared to the amount of GOOD surrounding us.

🙏So thank you!!!!!!!!
Thank you for saving animals with me.
Thank you for growing with me.
Thank you for standing beside me while I learned even when that meant learning through mistakes.
Thank you for giving me the grace to grow into a better version of myself.
Thank you for giving me the ability to physically build what you all helped make possible.
Thank you for believing in this mission.
Thank you for standing up for these animals when they needed you most.

And most of all…
THANK YOU FOR GROWING THIS BEAUTIFUL RESCUE WITH ME 🙏❤️

Wildlife Wonderland was never just mine.
It belongs to every single person who helped build it, believed in it, fought for it and loved these animals alongside us.

🐒🦡🐍🐎🐪🐐🐓🐻🦊🦝🦜And from the absolute bottom of our hearts, thank you for refusing to let us stand alone.

‼️UPDATE: on everything happening at Wildlife Wonderland and meet Abigail.
🚨It has been 14 days since the local authorities gave us a verbal 30 day notice to seize our animals and we finally have some positive news: WE HAVE OBTAINED LEGAL COUNCIL. We are going through the proper channels to resolve this situation and sincerely hope it can be done amicably.

❣️Because this is now an ongoing legal matter, we will be limited on what we can share but we’ll update you whenever we are able. Most importantly THANK YOU to everyone who helped us raise the funds to retain counsel. We truly could not have done this without you. YOU ARE THE ANIMALS SAVING GRACE!

🐕And because apparently we didn’t have enough going on… meet Abigail. ❤️
I cannot say this enough: WE DO NOT DO DOMESTICS. But when you find an emaciated dog in the middle of a highway about to get hit, you don’t just keep driving.
🐶Unfortunately dumped and stray dogs are such a massive problem here that every reputable rescue I trust to take Abigail is currently full.

🍗💉We’ve been feeding her and were able to get her to the vet where her bill was $222. We’re also working on getting her spayed and need p*e pads, Clorox and other supplies, so we’ve set Abigail’s fundraiser at $300. (She’s in quarantine and keeping a sterilized environment for her while she’s under deworming is key)

‼️Right now, even that $300 is something we desperately need help with. We’re already at approximately $20,000 in legal expenses and that’s just retainers and Abigail’s care came directly out of our animal food fund ➕our fridge is empty after yesterdays feeding!

🙏🦮If you can help us replenish those funds and get Abigail healthy, spayed and ready for a loving home we would be incredibly grateful. ❤️

‼️❤️‼️❤️We love you. The animals love you. Thank you for continuing to stand beside us through all of this.

🚨 🐍📦 myth busting link below ⬇️ https://www.facebook.com/share/v/14kBGCFAXT6/?mibextid=wwXIfr FIGHTING FOR OUR ANIMALS DAY 13: WE HAVE LEGAL REPRESENTATION.

‼️We moved here legally. Shortly after our arrival, the ordinance changed. For the last year, we have documented our interactions and every effort trying to fit our two year build out plan in to one to gain compliance (one year is not enough) yet we are now facing a 30 day VERBAL threat to seize our animals.

❣️And this is the point we need people to understand:
We are not claiming to be above the law. We are asking why the local government doesn’t have to follow the proper process on enforcing one they came up with AFTER WE BOUGHT A HOUSE HERE!

‼️There has been no escape resulting in a public safety incident. No bites to the public. No attacks. No injuries. No emergency involving our animals that suddenly justifies taking them away or even passing this ordinance.

🚨When the government threatens to deprive someone of their property, due process matters. Proper notice, documentation and an opportunity to respond aren’t things that should simply be skipped. Nor should providing documents to us on the matter (which has been refused)

🚨Instead, we’re facing an extreme consequence while the public is being presented with what we believe are twisted, false and misleading accusations to justify it.

🐍📦 And no we’re not going to spend our time arguing about outrageous claims like the infamous cobra in a cardboard box. If someone actually did that, we’d hope they were arrested.

We’re keeping this professional and focusing on what actually matters: the process, the law and our animals.

❤️ We now have legal representation and will fight this through the proper legal channels.

Because this goes beyond Wildlife Wonderland our whole community is affected. Allowing required procedures to be bypassed because officials personally dislike who they’re dealing with should concern everyone.

⚠️Today it’s our animals. Tomorrow it could be someone else’s animals, business or property.

❣️❤️Thank you to everyone helping us continue their care, complete our build out and fight to keep these animals safe and home where they belong. ❤️

Retainer alone for legal council was 20,000 and that’s just a retainer so we need all of the help we can get with further costs, maintaining animals and also continuing our build out. We cannot do this without you and we could not have gotten this far without you. Thank you all so much from the bottom of our hearts! The animals are so lucky to have the army they do!
