We are so proud to celebrate Raleigh and Addison for earning Positive Discipline Referrals!

Raleigh consistently demonstrates responsibility, respect, and a strong desire to learn. She works hard, makes great choices, and is always willing to help others.

Addison’s kind and caring heart shines through each day. She goes out of her way to help her classmates without being asked and is a wonderful example of kindness in action.

Ms. Colston’s fifth graders participated in two Kagan structures: Hand Up Pair Up, and Rally Robin after reading parts of their weekly story. Students were given tangible items to help create a visual in making a connection to the scene in the story. Students were engaged in conversations that helped them understand the story.

Atticus consistently comes to class prepared to learn, demonstrates an amazing attitude, and does a wonderful job advocating for himself. His positive choices and readiness to learn are a great example of what it means to be a Loxley Bear.

📚 Fifth Grade’s First Library Experience! 📚

Our fifth graders enjoyed their first visit to the library! Students learned library expectations, explored the shelves, and had the opportunity to check out books that sparked their interests.

As we continue to foster a love of reading, students will be encouraged to select and read AR novels, explore new genres, and work toward their individual AR goals. Building strong readers begins with giving students opportunities to discover books they genuinely enjoy!

A special thank you to Mrs. Bigham for welcoming our fifth graders and helping make their first library experience such a positive one. We are excited for a wonderful year of reading!
