Now that we have had time to breathe, we have switched gears from Luana Daze to Pork Loin. But here are some pictures from the weekend. We appreciate the support very much!!

The Duck Race was a success and we would like to make it an annual thing. Hope everyone enjoyed the activities!

WOW, What a great Luana Daze 2026! Thank you to everyone that supported us, weather it be at our food stand, bought a duck for the duck race, purchased a ticket for the raffle, participated in the kids waterball fights, or just stopping by to visit. It all means so much to us. Now that we can catch our breath from the fun filled weekend, we would like to let you know that our Annual Pork Loin Dinner is right around the corner. We hope to see you all there!

What a great day we had yesterday @ Luana Daze!

We hope the kids had fun with the activities. We are already looking forward to next year.
Thanks to all the kids and parents for making their way to the Fire Station for our first try at Duck Races and kids waterball.

Come to Luana again today for more fun! Looks to be a wonderful day for some more activities.

Remember, time is running out to buy Raffle tickets. We draw at our Pork Loin Dinner on September 13th. We will have tickets available today, come get some!

We are really excited about Luana Daze this year! We are trying some new things, Kids Waterball and Duck Races!! Check out the Luana Community Club page for all of the other exciting activities.
We are still selling Raffle Tickets and will be selling them during Luana Daze so make sure to get ya one(some)! We will be drawing during our Pork Loin Dinner on September 13th.

We have been busy training and with a few calls.
We burned the city dump, and hade the burn trailer at our station for great training

By now everyone knows what happened in Postville at Agri Star. We want to let the community of Postville know we have their back. It is truly amazing seeing so many departments and organizations come together and work as one.

I, along with all the members of the Frontier Fire Company (Postville Vol. Fire Department) as well as all of the other responding Fire, EMS, and Law Enforcement Officials, wish to THANK the entire community for their support during the Agri Star Fire! All of the food, beverages, and prayer helped keep all personnel going strong. I can't extend thanks enough for all of the other businesses, not just in Postville, but every community for allowing their employees to take off from their jobs and respond to the call knowing this may cause strain and productivity loss at their business.

I also want citizens to understand that once the fire is done, were not done. We have to wash hose and load it on the apparatus, wash turnout gear, clean tools, refill SCBA cylinders, wash apparatus, etc. just to be ready for the next call. PVFD also had several retired/honorary firefighters come to the station and assist where needed. One member even quoting, "Once a Firefighter, always a Firefighter!" Now that things have slowed down, we hope things can return to a more normal state again and we can catch up on sleep and be with family. Again, THANK YOU ALL! This coming Saturday, Luana Fire will be hosting a multi department training at our station with the State Burn Trailer.

You will notice some “smoke” this is mainly from a fog machine, a generator making some noise, and our pumper supplying water. This is a vital training opportunity that resembles an active house fire with several different scenarios for anyone who is a rookie up to a veteran fire fighter.

We all strive to train to be ready for the worst. We ask if you do drive or walk by our station that you are mindful of the members and hose lines during this live fire training opportunity.
