I am honored to reflect on a truly meaningful day in my career—my formal investiture to the Twelfth Court of Appeals of Texas.

Surrounded by family and friends, colleagues, and members of the East Texas legal community, the ceremony was a powerful reminder of the solemn responsibility entrusted to the Court and the enduring principles that guide its work.

I am humbled by the opportunity to serve and remain committed to upholding the Constitution, applying the law with fairness and clarity, and honoring the trust placed in this office by the people of Texas.

I am pleased to share a selection of photographs from this special milestone in my career. Thank you to everyone who attended—especially those who traveled from near and far to be there. Your support means more to me than you know.

It is the honor of a lifetime to serve, and I look forward to carrying forward this responsibility with integrity, humility, and an unwavering commitment to justice.

Congratulations as well to all of the evening's award recipients for their outstanding dedication to the legal community.

It was my privilege to join Supreme Court Justice James Sullivan and Justice Stacy Trotter of the Eleventh Court of Appeals on a panel discussion titled 'A View from the State Appellate Bench.' This event was part of a larger symposium co-hosted by the Texas Tech Law Review and the Federalist Society, where we engaged in a thoughtful discussion about the intricacies of state clerkships, the significance of state appellate decisions, and the framework and operation of the Texas judicial system. I appreciated the opportunity to interact with students and colleagues regarding the important work of our state appellate courts.
