There is no single cause to su***de. It most often occurs when stressors exceed current coping abilities of someone suffering from a mental health condition.

#4. TEENAGE BRAIN CHANGES CAUSE TEENS TO SPEND AN IMMENSE AMOUNT OF TIME THINKING ABOUT THEMSELVES. THEIR ACTIONS AND THEIR APPEARANCE. THEY BELIEVE OTHERS ARE THINKING OF THEM AS WELL.

• Understand that they are not SELFISH! This is a stage of teenage brain development mainly about their identity. It’s a time to be patient and use the active listening skills as well as “I Statements”, where you start with I feel ……. When ……..: ex: I feel angry when you ignore what I am saying.
