An official legislative caucus, the historic TX House LGBTQ Caucus was founded in 2019 by 5 LGBTQIA+ women in the TX House.

The Caucus exists to create awareness & advocate for LGBTQIA+ Texans as we fight for a more equitable & socially just state.

Yesterday, the Arlington City Council voted to rescind nondiscrimination protections for sexual orientation and gender identity.

This makes Arlington the first city in the nation to roll back nondiscrimination protections for q***r folks. This is just the latest example of overcompliance with the state and federal government’s attempts to erase and alienate LGBTQIA+ people.

Your consistently fights to expand nondiscrimination protections. We want to thank Member State Representative Chris Turner for his efforts in fighting this harmful action. We will not back down in the face of any threat against our community.
