South Plains College Fire Academy

South Plains College Fire Academy We offer a Basic Fire Academy, many advanced TCFP certification classes, continuing education training, and an Associates Degree.

South Plains College Basic Fire Academy provides Texas Commission on Fire Protection (TCFP)-certified Basic Fire Suppression training, advanced TCFP certification classes such as Fire Officer, Wildland Firefighter, and Fire Instructor, and an Associate Degree in Fire Technology. Academy classes are held at Lubbock Fire Rescue's Training Complex; other classes and the office for our staff are located at the SPC Lubbock Center campus, located at 3907 Ave Q in Lubbock.

Tragic news out of Odessa. South Plains College Fire Academy has several instructors and many alum who are firefighters for Odessa Fire Rescue. Our hearts our heavy for all of you. We will be praying for Lt. Huerta’s family and OFR with this difficult time.
