The city council is not working in the interest of its citizens. This is ridiculous! That property is city property. They have the means. Ordinary citizens usually don’t have $15,000 sitting around to take care of city infrastructure the city has neglected. Talk about a tax hike…🤦‍♀️

Lubbock homeowner, Jenni Boller, said she started having sewer problems in November of last year. She called a plumber, who then called the City of Lubbock about Boller’s crushed sewer tap in her C…

From Dr. Anne Epstein: "This very high quality study used new satellite data to show that methane emissions from the Permian Basin are the highest ever recorded from an oil and gas producing area! The methane is leaking predominantly from the flares that occur when operators release gas directly into the atmosphere and set on fire, rather than capturing it. This methane leak is 60% higher than the average leakage rate, and is twice what the EPA had estimated, and is contributing substantially to climate change."

Using new satellite observations and atmospheric inverse modeling, we report methane emissions from the Permian Basin, which is among the world’s most prolific oil-producing regions and accounts for >30% of total U.S. oil production. Based on satellite measurements from May 2018 to March 2019, Per...

The House Bill has passed. Send this email, but also call your senator too.

House Bill 2771 and Senate Bill 1585 would allow oil and gas companies to discharge their contaminated wastewater into Texas lakes, rivers and streams, which are sources of drinking water. The Texas Senate will vote on this bill soon, so act now to stop it, if you don't want to drink toxic fracking....

This bill, if passed, would be extremely damage to the health of our environments and our people. Tell your legislators to oppose it.

Urge your state legislator to oppose HB 2771, which would allow the TCEQ to issue permits to oil and gas frackers to dump wastewater into our rivers, streams, bays, and reservoirs.
