Lubbock-Cooper ISD is a 5A district located in the southern portion of Lubbock County in Texas. The district boasts five elementary campuses, two middle school campuses, one high school campus, and one non-traditional academy. Founded in 1936, the school is now one of the fastest-growing and highest performing districts in the area.

LCHS will host its annual NHS Trunk-or-Treat from 5:00-7:00 p.m. TOMORROW, Sunday, October 25 in the LCHS Band parking lot! 🎃🍬🎃🍬 (In the case of inclement weather, the event will be moved inside the LCHS Field House!)

Admission is free, and participating organizations will accept donations to support the family of Dr. Sarah Allen.

👻🔦 BOO-tiful Science is Happening at East Elementary! 🔦👻

Kindergarten scientists are shining bright as they explore the fascinating world of light and shadows! ✨🔬

These little Pirates and Patriots put on their investigator hats to discover how light can travel through some materials while others block it, creating shadows! And what better way to bring science to life than with a little spooky fun? 🎃

Students created their very own ghosts and used light to investigate how shadows are formed! Through this hands-on experiment, they made predictions, observed what happened, and explained their discoveries like true scientists! 🧪💡

We love seeing our youngest learners explore, question, and discover the world around them. These are the moments when curiosity sparks and learning truly comes to life!

🔬🔎 Real-world learning in action!

Students from LCHS and Liberty HS recently visited the Texas Department of Public Safety Crime Laboratory in Lubbock for a behind-the-scenes look at forensic science!

From evidence intake to ballistics, DNA, fingerprint, and chemical analysis, students explored the many ways forensic scientists analyze evidence and support criminal investigations. This hands-on learning experience gave students a closer look at the science behind the scenes and the career opportunities available in the field!

A big thank-you to the DPS Crime Laboratory team for welcoming our Pirates and Patriots and providing this valuable learning opportunity!

What an honor for Liberty High School to serve as the host site for the Region 17 More Than Meets the Eye event last week!

We were proud to welcome students and staff from across our region for a day of celebrating the independence, abilities, and achievements of individuals who are blind or visually impaired. Students explored topics like accessibility, inclusion, orientation and mobility, assistive technology, and more!

Thank you to everyone who joined us in creating an opportunity for students to learn from one another, build understanding, and celebrate the many ways individuals with visual impairments thrive in their schools and communities!
