A great day for Lubbock as we officially broke ground on the Broadway Reconstruction Project!

Broadway has long been an important part of Lubbock, connecting our community and carrying so much of our city’s history along with it. This project is an exciting investment in its future and another step toward keeping Lubbock moving forward.

Thank you to our City staff, engineers, contractors, community partners, and everyone who has spent time planning and working to get this project to the starting line. It’s great to finally see shovels in the ground, and I’m looking forward to watching a new chapter for Broadway take shape!

Today, we proudly honor our Purple Heart recipients and remember the extraordinary sacrifice they made in service to our nation.

Their courage and selflessness have helped preserve the freedoms we enjoy every day. We are forever grateful. 🇺🇸

This playoff run by Tech Softball has been extremely fun (and sometimes stressful)! Very proud of our team and excited for this championship rematch. Wishing our team good luck, let’s bring the championship trophy to Lubbock!
