Don't forget to change your batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors tonight when you set your clock back. Also its a great time to check your fire extinguisher! Any disposable extinguisher (like bought at a big box store) has a 12 year shelf life. Your extinguisher should also be in the green. If your extinguisher is out of date or out of green, give us a call! Special pricing for time change: 5LB Amerex ABC extinguishers-$50, 10LB Amerex ABC extinguisher-$70. Price valid through March 20, 2021!

Did you know that NFPA and Ohio Law requires fire extinguishers to be check every single month? The check can be made by the building owner, a designee of the building owner, or by a licensed company. Extinguishers are also required to have an annual inspection by a licensed company only. So when was the last time you checked your extinguishers? Below is a guide to help you out!

1.Check that the extinguisher is in the designated place.

2.Check the canister for dents or scratches.Anything that intrudes into the canister more than 1/16 of an inch makes it a deficient extinguisher.

3.Check the hose for blockages.
Make sure the gauge is reading in the green range.

4.Ensure the pull pin is inserted properly.

5.Make sure the hose is properly secured.

6.Make sure there are no obstructions to access or visibility, and that operating instructions are facing forward.

7. Check the tag to be sure your extinguisher is still good on its annual inspection. The tag is void 1 year from the hole punched date.

8. If all the above is good then, Initial and date the tag, to reflect inspection information.

Welcome to our page. Founded by Timothy and Grace Large in the winter of 2019 to meet a growing need for a new dedicated fire prevention company. We sell, service, and inspect all types of fire extinguishers. We offer convenient scheduling and send you reminders when your next service or inspection is due so you're never out of date. We also offer service contracts that are set price for terms of 3,6, or 12 years. We currently do NOT service hoods or sprinklers but are looking to expand through out the year.
