⚠️ ROAD ALERT – HWY 613 ⚠️

A tree is currently down and blocking the entire roadway on Highway 613 just past Collins Road heading out of town.

🚧 The roadway is impassable at this time.

If you're traveling in that direction, you'll need to turn around and use Mill Street Extension to access Highway 613 until the tree can be cleared.

🚨 ROADWAY FLOODING ALERT 🚨

The Lucedale Police Department advises motorists that the following roadways within the City Limits of Lucedale are currently experiencing flooding:

🌧️ Beaver Dam Road at the Recycle Center (back in driving condition as of 2 pm)
🌧️ Winter Street near O'Reilly Auto Parts
🌧️ Mable Street (as of 1:20 pm roadway was in driving condition)
🌧️ Cowart Street (as of 1:20 pm roadway was in driving condition)
🌧️ Glen Oaks Street
🌧️ Scott Road (back in driving position as of 3 pm)
🌧️ Mill Street (back in driving position as of 3 pm)
🌧️ JFK Street (back in driving position as of 3 pm)
🌧️ Laura Street (back in driving position as of 3 pm)

We also have reports of trees and power-lines down in the roadway at Hwy 198 near the radio station.

Please use extreme caution if you must travel. Never drive through flooded roadways, as water depth and roadway conditions may be difficult to determine.

If you are aware of a flooded street or roadway within the City Limits of Lucedale, please contact us so we can help notify the public and monitor conditions.

Stay alert, slow down, and allow extra travel time during this weather event.

The Lucedale Police Department Administrative Office and Lucedale Municipal Court will be closed Monday, May 25th in observance of Memorial Day.

Our patrol officers will remain on duty throughout the holiday. If you have an emergency, please call 911. For non-emergencies contact our office at 601-947-3261.
