The Lucedale Fire Department would like to proudly welcome our newest member, Mr. Trey Hill.
Trey brings with him many years of experience in both firefighting and emergency medical response. He has faithfully served George County over the years with District 3 and currently holds the position of Fire Chief with the Barton Volunteer Fire Department. Above all, he is a devoted husband and father.
Trey recently completed the first phase of his hazardous materials response training at the Mississippi State Fire Academy in Pearl, MS. He successfully completed NFPA 470 Hazardous Materials Awareness and Operations—just the beginning of many courses he will have the opportunity to complete through the academy.
Since joining the Lucedale Fire Department, Trey has demonstrated a strong work ethic and commitment to always being prepared when the tones drop. He has dedicated countless hours to studying and training in order to meet the academic and physical agility requirements of this profession—standards he will continue to uphold throughout his career.
We are grateful to have Trey as part of our team and look forward to serving alongside him as we continue providing the highest level of emergency response to our community.
In recognition of his dedication and excellence in every aspect of his duties, Trey has been selected as Firefighter of the Quarter and was recognized today, Monday April 13, 2026 at the Lucedale Rotary Club meeting in collaboration with Century Bank, as one of three outstanding first responders in our Community.

Congratulations Trey!
