🌳 𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗠 𝗗𝗘𝗕𝗥𝗜𝗦 𝗗𝗥𝗢𝗣-𝗢𝗙𝗙 𝗔𝗩𝗔𝗜𝗟𝗔𝗕𝗟𝗘

After speaking with Public Works Director Shane Hamant, we have established a storm debris drop-off area for residents dealing with downed limbs and other vegetative storm debris.

Beginning today through Wednesday, August 19, residents may bring storm debris to the green space at the corner of Traverse Street and Wilcow Alley, as shown on the map below.

Orange cones will be placed to clearly outline the designated drop-off area. Please keep all debris within the coned area.

This area is for tree limbs, branches, and similar storm-related vegetative debris only.

This is another way we can help residents with cleanup following the significant storm damage throughout Ludlow while our Public Works crews continue their work across the city.

The next Ludlow Citywide Yard Sale will be on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

No permit is required to participate.

Help us spread the word. Kenton County Public Works is partnering with the Kentucky Division of Waste Management to host a FREE three-day Waste Tire Collection Event for all Kentucky residents.

Aug. 13 & 14: 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Aug. 15: 8 a.m. – Noon

📍 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲: KYTC Facility Lot (3923 Madison Pike, Covington 41017)

✅ Tires on or off the rim
✅ Car, truck, implement, tractor and bicycle tires
✅ Call the number below if you have more than 100 tires to dispose of.

❌Foam-filled or calcium-filled tires
❌Off-the-road construction tires
❌Rubber tracks
❌Tires with a bead greater than 1¾ inches
❌Tires from retailers, scrap/salvage yards or recycling businesses

As part of our city's Read Ready initiative, we are happy to host this parenting class at our Ludlow Community Center on August 12th. Parents of little ones ages birth through age 5 are invited to register. We'll have dinner and babysitting, plus a chance to win a Kroger gift card!
