We are going to piggy back off of the Rotary's post and share how proud we are of Trent and his accomplishments. Trent truly has a servants heart and he loves giving back to Long County. He is such an inspiration and I have no doubt Trent will accomplish great things. He truly deserves this opportunity!!! We will miss you Trent but pray this is experience is a blessing for you.

🏛️ BIG things are happening for one of our own!🏛️

The Rotary Club of Long County couldn't be more proud to celebrate our President, Trent Rutherford, on being selected for the Georgia Governor's Internship Program! 🎉

This is a HUGE accomplishment. The Governor's Internship Program is a highly competitive opportunity designed to give some of Georgia's brightest and most ambitious college students real-world experience in state government, politics, and the legislative process. Selected interns have the opportunity to work in the Governor's Office or with state agencies while learning firsthand how our state government operates.

And if you know Trent, you know why we aren't surprised that he earned this opportunity. ❤️

We're proud to see someone who has chosen to serve, lead, and get involved stepping into an opportunity like this. We need young people who are willing to learn how government works, understand the needs of their communities, and bring their voices and values to the table.

And selfishly? We're pretty proud that our Rotary President is headed to the Capitol! 😉

Trent, congratulations on this incredible achievement! We are excited to watch you learn, grow, and make your mark. We know this is only the beginning of what you're capable of accomplishing.

Long County Rotary is cheering you on all the way to Atlanta! 🏛️💙💛

And to the young people in our community: Get involved. Lead. Serve. Apply for the opportunity. You never know where it might take you.
