This week is CPR & AED Awareness Week, and we couldnโ€™t think of a better time to share this moment from our recent Teddy Bear Drive in Long County. ๐Ÿซ€

These future lifesavers had the opportunity to learn and practice CPR, building skills that could one day make all the difference in an emergency.

Did you know?
โšก More than 350,000 cardiac arrests occur outside of hospitals in the U.S. each year.
โšก Immediate CPR can double or even triple a personโ€™s chance of survival.
โšก About 70% of out-of-hospital cardiac arrests happen at home, meaning the life you save could be someone you love.

You are never too young (or old!) to learn how to help. You never know whose life you might save.

How good do those steaks look though? ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ๐Ÿฅฉ๐Ÿš‘

Our Dublin station wrapped up EMS Week with a Family Day cookout and a chance for crews and families to relax, eat, and spend some time together outside of the day-to-day chaos. ๐Ÿ’™

A special thank you to the families who support our crews through the long shifts, late nights, missed holidays, and everything in between. EMS is a team effort both on and off the truck, and we appreciate all that you do!

Today, we pause to remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend, it is a time to honor those who never made it home and to reflect on the courage, sacrifice, and selflessness they gave for others.

At Excelsior Ambulance Service, we proudly remember and honor our fallen heroes today and every day. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

Food, family, and a little friendly competition.

Our Long County crew spent time together today celebrating EMS Week with good food, great company, and some pickleball! Weโ€™re so grateful for everyone who came out to celebrate with us and support our crews.

A special thank you to Keila Gill for suggesting pickleball as a way to support both mental and physical health. The set will now stay at the station for crews to use to de-stress, stay active, and have a little fun between shifts. ๐Ÿ“

A few more moments from EMS Week in Augusta. ๐Ÿš‘๐Ÿ’™ Augusta Division Manager Tyrone Williams and Operations Supervisor Shawna Larsen joined the crews this week as the station continued celebrating!

There are moments most people will never see.
The calls that stay with you. The exhaustion after a long shift. The quiet moments in between where you reset and do it all over again.
And somehow, through all of it, our crews continue to show up with compassion, professionalism, and heart.

To every EMT, Paramedic, Dispatcher, and EMS professional across Excelsior Ambulance Service, thank you for what you give to this job and to the communities you serve every day.

A message from the Carolinas:
EMS Week at Excelsior Carolinas? Ohโ€ฆ we understood the assignment. ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿš‘

This week was less โ€œsalad and self-controlโ€ and more FULL SEND appreciation mode:
๐Ÿฉ Doughnuts to kick things off
๐ŸŒฎ Taco Tuesday done right
๐ŸŽ‚ โ€œLet Them Eat Cakeโ€ day because calories donโ€™t count during EMS Week
๐Ÿฅ“ Flying Biscuits breakfast to finish strong
But behind all the fun, food, and laughs is something we never take for granted, our crews.

At Excelsior Ambulance Service: Carolinas, our providers are the heart of everything we do. They show up every single day for our patients, our communities, and each other with dedication, compassion, and grit that is truly second to none.
We are beyond thankful for the incredible people who support our mission and make this company what it is. Seeing your smiling faces every day is the best part of what we do. โค๏ธ

Happy EMS Week to providers everywhere, but especially to our Excelsior crews.
We couldnโ€™t do it without you! ๐Ÿš‘๐Ÿ”ฅ
