The primary function of the Deep East Texas Regional Advisory Council is to provide stakeholder support through planning, facilitation, operations and the provision of technical assistance to the region for Preparedness, Trauma, Injury Prevention, Stroke, Cardiac and Pediatric services. DETRAC prepares our region for manmade or natural emergencies, disasters and mass casualty events. Likewise, our

Trauma, Stroke, Cardiac and Pediatric commitees work to establish standards of care and protocols for consideration/adoption by area hospitals, EMS agencies, and other providers. As an organization, we foster collaboration to educate our communities and collectively deliver appropriate and compassionate care with trained providers.
