📢 TELFAIR COUNTY — YOUR VOICE MATTERS!
Telfair County and the communities of McRae-Helena, Jacksonville, Lumber City, Milan, and Scotland are currently working together to update the Telfair County Joint Hazard Mitigation Plan.
This plan is about preparing our communities before disasters happen—identifying the hazards we face, understanding where we are most vulnerable, and finding ways to reduce the risk to our families, homes, businesses, infrastructure, and communities.
But we need your input.
You live here. You know the areas that flood, the roads that become dangerous during severe weather, the concerns your neighborhood faces, and the challenges our community experiences when emergencies occur.
Your experience and your concerns can help shape the priorities for the future.
Please take a few minutes to complete the anonymous community survey. Your responses will help identify local needs, concerns, and priorities and will be used in updating the Joint Hazard Mitigation Plan.
📱 Scan the QR code on the flyer or use the survey link provided.
Please submit your responses by October 2, 2026.
This is an opportunity for every resident to have a voice in how our community prepares for the next storm, flood, wildfire, severe weather event, or other hazard.
Don't assume someone else will fill it out. Your voice matters. Your experience matters. And your input can help make Telfair County safer and more prepared for the future.
Please take the survey and share this post with your family, friends, neighbors, and community.
Together, we can prepare today for a safer tomorrow.
