Robeson County EMS would like to express our deepest condolences to the family of Dr. Joseph Deese.

Dr. Deese was a great physician who was loved and respected by all EMS employees. He always took the time to truly listen during patient hand-offs, never interrupting or belittling EMS crews, and consistently showing respect to every EMS clinician he encountered. His compassion, professionalism, and outstanding bedside manner with both patients and families will never be forgotten.

Dr. Deese diligently served as the Robeson County EMS Medical Director in 2011, and his dedication to the citizens of our community made a lasting impact on countless lives.

Thank you, Dr. Deese, for your service, leadership, and unwavering support of EMS and our community. You will be greatly missed.

The L.I.F.E. Mentoring Program recently hosted a Career Expo at Robeson Alternative School/Learning Acceleration Program, providing students with the opportunity to connect with professionals from a variety of career fields. Representatives from NC Works, Tabor Correctional Institution, the U.S. Army, AIT Carriers, and Robeson County Parks & Recreation participated in the event, sharing valuable information about careers, education, and future opportunities.

After visiting each table and engaging in meaningful conversations, students gathered in the bleachers where each guest speaker had the opportunity to pour into these young men and women with words of encouragement, guidance, and inspiration. The event was a powerful reminder of the importance of mentorship, exposure, and investing in the next generation.
