Today, members of the Lumberton Township Police Department and surrounding law enforcement agencies proudly participated in the 43rd Annual Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics New Jersey.
The route began in Evesham Township, continued through Medford and Medford Lakes, and concluded at the Lumberton Township Police Department. This route holds special significance, as it was established with the help of longtime Special Olympics New Jersey volunteer Allan Tittermary. This year, officers ran in Allan's memory, honoring his dedication and commitment to the Special Olympics community following his unexpected passing in March.
The Torch Run is more than just a run—it is a symbol of hope, inclusion, and support for the incredible athletes of Special Olympics. Law enforcement officers from across New Jersey joined together to carry the “Flame of Hope,” helping raise awareness and funds for this outstanding organization.
We are honored to continue supporting Special Olympics New Jersey and the remarkable athletes each year.
