NOTICE: BURN BAN DISCONTINUED
The burn ban for Lunenburg County, Virginia, has been lifted. The Board of Supervisors approved the discontinuation of the burn ban.

Lunenburg Emergency Management advises that the public burn with caution and monitor surface and wind conditions when burning. It is recommended to call Dispatch at 434-696-4452 to notify them of planned burning in case they receive calls from concerned citizens who see flames or smoke.

UPCOMING TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND DETOUR starting Monday, April 20th:

RTE 655 (PLANK ROAD) DETOUR
Route 655 will be closed from Rte. 637 (Craig Mill Rd) to Rte. 652 (Oaks Rd).

Traffic will be rerouted on to Rte. 637 (Craig Mill Rd) to Rte. 647 (Sneads Store Rd) onto Rte. 646 (Laurel Branch Rd) back to Rte. 655 (Plank Rd).

Road closure is scheduled for 4/20/2026 thru 04/22/2026 at the most.
