Here's the LMHS Library First Semester 2025-2026 Half Time Report! The LMHS Library has been a very busy place again this year. So grateful for my wonderful student assistant who is now a senior. Without her help I am not sure how our amazing new books would have gotten covered, ready for processing and displayed for checkout! And as we head into research season, I am ready to help!

A school library fosters critical thinking, collaboration, communication & creativity - and I'm so glad so many students and staff enjoy the spaces and resources every day. With the help of my sensational student assistant, I added 434 amazing books so far this year to the middle and high school collections. We are working on adding hundreds more! And as we head into research season, I am ready to help!

I was able to meet Geraldine Brooks, one of my favorite authors, last night at the Cape with my friend & fellow teacher Erinanne. Geraldine gave an inspiring talk, had an incredibly thoughtful response about the events of this week (much of her journalistic work covered the Middle East), signed our copies of her latest book Horse & was wonderfully nice enough to let us take a photo with her. I just reread several of her books, including People of the Book - which is so much more meaningful and poignant with the events of this week. I recommend all of her books.

The LMHS library celebrated School Library Month with lots of reading, researching, engaging in library activities like BreakoutEDU, and enjoying the library spaces. Plus lots of new books were added with many more to come! 📚❤️📚
