The fields are up and ready for our soccer season!

We want to take a moment and say thank you to Luray Caverns for sponsoring our Turf Tank machine this year.

The Turf Tank is split between the Recreation Department and the two county high schools. It is used for soccer and football. Not only does it drastically lower one of our biggest expenses (field paint) but it also saves a ton of time for our admin, coaches, and volunteers while making the field look great!

You can see the Turf Tank in action in the last video, which was taken last fall while getting Bulldog Field painted.

Thank you to the Luray Caverns Corp and the Luray Caverns Wishing Well for providing this to the county and our programs!

We wanted to give an update about everything coming this summer so that everyone can be in the know!

We have a full lineup of youth sports programs and camps coming up this summer, and we can’t wait to see everyone back out on the fields, courts, and golf course!

Here’s what we have coming up:

⛳ Junior Golf Clinic
📍 Caverns Country Club
📅 June 8-11
💲 $50 per player (Fees taken first day of camp )
⏰ Morning sessions (times TBD based on registration numbers)
👦 Open to youth golfers
🏌️ Includes instruction, games, and a scramble on the final day! Parents are welcome to attend the scramble.
